Ready to see everyoneโ€™s highlights of the last year that is. Now donโ€™t get me wrong, I love to see beautiful photos and happy faces - just as much as the next person. However, please remember that the influx of posts that youโ€™re about to see are not the day to day reality of everyoneโ€™s lives - because you know what will be missing? The lows.


We are rather complex human beings, our mental health is linear, therefore, we canโ€™t be happy all the time because letโ€™s be honest, life happensโ€ฆ


So before you sit there and over indulge in everybodyโ€™s โ€˜yearly recap winsโ€™ and tell yourself youโ€™ve not done enough over this last year, please remember thisโ€ฆ


โค๏ธ In every moment of every day itโ€™s highly likely you are doing the best you can

โค๏ธ You are more than good enough and always have been

โค๏ธ Itโ€™s completely ok to have down days and to cry - you body is trying to help you to โ€˜let goโ€™

โค๏ธ There is more to you than meets the eye, itโ€™s about time you feel proud to show off all the parts of you

โค๏ธ You can make mistakes and learn. Please know that this does not mean youโ€™re a bad person but someone who is able to grow and understand

โค๏ธ The happiness, love and validation you are searching for in others wonโ€™t be found with them, but within yourself

โค๏ธ You care so much for others itโ€™s about time you cared for yourself and your feelings too


Wherever you are within this moment - be there! You donโ€™t need to now put a ton of pressure on yourself to achieve unrealistic goals. Or feel terrible when you see the toxic posts that are about to come in the new yearโ€ฆ After all, all your body has been craving this winter was to rest, and in one of the most busiest times of the year too! So when youโ€™re beating yourself because of your lack of energy and difficulty meeting your own expectations, please be compassionate with yourself.


Ensure you are celebrating you - however this looks and in your own way (this can include a self-care day and relaxing BTW, it doesnโ€™t have to be all glitzy and โ€˜insta-readyโ€™). Feel your emotions but donโ€™t live there. Never give up on yourself and remember you are improving and growing every single day. Donโ€™t forget to give yourself a big pat on the back toโ€ฆ


Take what you need today and remember to be kind to yourself.โค๏ธ
